The Glasshouse Mountains on the Queensland coast. They are the remnants of old volcanoes.

The Olgas, in the Northern Territory. Worn down sandstone, these are what Uluru (Ayers Rock) will look like one day. I liked the Olgas better than Uluru, because they're much less touristy.

Stuart Range Observatory, Ellesmere, Qld. I did quite a lot of my observing from here, a very dark site with the NELM>7.0
